Reliance Foundry Co. Ltd., Surrey, B.C., Canada, has been selected to supply the cast ductile iron bollards that will protect the pedestrian pathway in the newly renovated Calgary Central Memorial Park.

“This was a great project because of what it meant to the city,” said Brad Done, vice president of Reliance Foundry. “The City of Calgary has done a beautiful job with bringing honor to the Veterans."

Bollards are rigid posts used by municipalities to ensure perimeter security, control and direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic, or add to architectural appeal. The Reliance bollards are part of a recent $11.5 million revitalization project for the Calgary Central Memorial Park.

In addition to bollards, Reliance Foundry provides a variety of ferrous and nonferrous castings, including cart wheels, marine products and bike parking products.
