Kinetic Die Casting Inc., North Hollywood, Calif., purchased the customer list of nearby Coast Die Casting Co., Gardena, Calif., late last year.

According to a statement released by Kinetic’s president, Bob Thomas, the diecaster will continue to serve Coast’s customers, which include companies in the consumer, tooling, aerospace and aircraft products markets. Kinetic did not take possession of Coast's equipment or manufacturing space.

Coast was founded as a family-owned business and later purchased by employee Richard White. The company was closed upon White’s retirement.

“[Former owner] Dick [Sawtelle] was well respected in the diecasting industry,” Thomas said.

Kinetic is a job shop producing aluminum die castings for a variety of OEMs’ products.
