Bridesburg Foundry, Whitehall, Pa., has hired EnerNOC Inc., Boston, to seek low rate energy contracts before the expiration of Pennsylvania rate caps.

Bridesburg began working with EnerNOC in 2008, establishing a demand response partnership at the time. With electricity rate caps scheduled to expire on Dec. 31, the aluminum and bronze metalcaster contracted with EnerNOC to help it secure energy procurement contracts aligned to its risk tolerance and achieve savings through competitive supply contracts.

“EnerNOC came to us with a proposal that lets us pay 30% less than what we were paying,” said Vince Rivetti, Bridesburg president. “They talked to us about our business and our goals. They looked at our current bills. And they came back with a proposal that matched our needs and saved us a lot of money.”
