Thresher Receives Previously Ordered Equipment Print E-mail

Released on April 27, 2009

Thresher Industries Inc., Hanford, Calif., announced it has completed the acquisition of three high pressure die casting machines with all support equipment, including furnaces, which it ordered in December 2008.

The company expects the fully-operational equipment (two 350-ton machines and one 650-ton machine with high-performance shot ends and high volume furnaces) to increase annual revenues by $15 million. The new work cells will allow the company to offer conventional die castings in addition to its metal matrix composite and aluminum castings.

“Thresher's mission is to create the highest customer satisfaction using the lowest cost of materials and the least environmental impact,” said Tom Flessner, the company’s president and CEO. “Our new machines can produce complex shapes with a high degree of speed, accuracy and repeatability, reducing the time and energy spent on production.”
