Citation Corp., Novi, Mich., has been awarded a long-term contract by Daimler Trucks North America LLC to supply engine brackets, chassis and suspension components for heavy- and medium-duty trucks.

The components began coming off the lines at Citation’s Biscoe, N.C., and Columbiana, Ala., facilities in the first quarter of 2008, destined for use on Daimler’s Freightliner brand. Citation plants located in Lufkin, Texas, and Marion and Brewton, Ala., provide secondary support to the Biscoe division. The parts will be shipped to all Daimler Trucks’ assembly plants in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Citation has worked with Daimler Trucks North America LLC, formerly known as Freightliner LLC, for more than 20 years. The business has grown to be one of Citation’s largest heavy-truck customers.
