Xenia Reaches Safety Milestone Print E-mail

Released on August 26, 2007

Xenia Foundry and Machine Co., Xenia, Ohio, recently hit a safety milestone when employees worked 365 consecutive days without a lost or restricted workday accident.

Lost time accidents are defined as serious accidents that prevent an employee from immediately returning to work.

“Working over 2,000 hours without a lost-time accident is an important accomplishment for a [metalcasting] operation that is labor-intensive,” said Bob Huston, Xenia president. “Hats off to all employees that worked safely every day to reach this milestone. It speaks well of our company emphasis on safe working procedures, worker training, and safety awareness.”

Xenia Foundry is a gray and ductile iron casting company, producing components for specialized equipment manufacturers.
