The Dotson Company Inc., Mankato, Minn., upgraded and automated its casting finishing department over their Christmas shutdown with the installation of a seven vibratory machines from Conveyor Dynamics Corp., St. Peters, Mo.

The first was a water cooling conveyor, followed by a degating and sorting conveyor. Two of the conveyors are indexing shot blast charge feeders with load cells for weighing each batch of castings. Special features include dynamically balanced and isolated designs, extra heavy duty construction and sound absorption linings.
